- Aside from the mindless voters who vote for BO because of his pro-life, pro-war, and Palin VP selection, there are a few that are truly anti-American and buy into the Obama words from his interview in 2001 on WBEZ 91.5 FM Chicago radio
- "If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples. So that I would now have the right to vote and I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it I would be ok. But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and serve more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And to that extent as radical as people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the constitution. At least this has been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way (that generally the constitution is a charter of negative liberties). Says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you; but it doesn’t say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted and one of the (I think) tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused. I think there was a tendency to loose track of the political and community organizing and activities on ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change. And in some ways we still suffer from that."

Back in 2000 a woman asked McCain why her father should be "penalized" for earning enough money to be in a high tax bracket. McCain's reply: "Wealthy people can afford more. When you reach a certain level of comfort, there's nothing wrong with paying somewhat more." McCain the socialist. Or McCain the flip-flopper. And then there's Palin talking about the checks issued to Alaskans from the levies on oil companies. "Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs." No wonder they want to secede from America. They've gone Socialist!!!
