So by your logic if AIG only received a fraction of this bailout money then the bonuses would be relevant. That makes no sense. The point is that if the taxpayers hadn't bailed out AIG there wouldn't be a company to pay out the bonuses!! Of course when your taxes go up you'll be bitching about social programs and not corporate bonuses.
Wow! You’re a genius. We should have only given AIG $165,000,000 (just for bonuses). That way the taxpayer would have $169,835,000,000 left for something worthwhile. I think those 100 senators should be doing real work and not worrying about a spit in the bucket concerning a tiny few people.
