1350 Obama - Speech to congress

Steve spoke to congress last night

  1. He is a good speaker.

  2. 'Jumping Jack' Pelosi really detracted from the show

  3. “The salesman knows nothing of what he is selling save that he is charging a great deal too much for it.” Oscar Wilde

    • Eg. In the speech Obama refers to the United States as "the nation that invented the automobile."

    • German engineer Karl Benz is credited as the inventor of the internal combustion engine and, in 1885, the world's first modern automobile. Americans are seen as the country that pioneered the mass production of cars.

  4. Discovery Channel (D.C.) syndrome

    • Washington D.C. (coincidence?) Both TV DC and El Honcho Grande in DC don't even acknowledge that there are two sides to man made global weather.

    • Here's Steve last night - "To truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy, I ask this Congress to send me legislation that places a market-based cap on carbon pollution and drives the production of more renewable energy in America."

    • Notice that its now 'climate change'. Good ole Gore started things out with 'global cooling' and when that didn't work, he came out with the 'global warming' kick. Now its 'climate change'.

    • Just like 'saving jobs', Steve can't go wrong with 'climate change' because, thanks to the sun, the globe will have climate change

    • Sad part is, he may very well break the global bank.
